Multiple Sources of Passive & Residual Income

It’s very important when working 100% online from anywhere in our world to have Multiple Sources of Passive & Residual Income.

The trick is of course to find the opportunities that are indeed legitimate as well as a return of investment of our time and/or money.

There are many shiny objects available on the internet and also lots of so called gurus who are just trying to promote the latest & greatest thing.

I’ve been earning on the internet since 2009 so I have indeed came across a wide variety of “Get Rich Quick” things as well as many great opportunities.

I have also assisted thousands of friends in earning online as well, many of whom are now full-time 100% earning an income online after firing their boss.

  2. At the moment I do not have different sources of passive income, so it is great to see so many options for multiple sources of passive and residual income. It is not always easy to find legitimate sources of passive income, or get a reasonable rate of return on your efforts and time. It is easy to get distracted by shiny objects and I have been guilty of that.

I will have a closer look at all your recommendations to see which ones will be the best fit for me.

I can see how much work you have put into compiling these articles and reviews – my hat down! What I also highly appreciate is your honesty in your disclaimer. You say that you’re involved with W.A., Global Money Line, and Legendary Marketer. This is really helpful because I can investigate them without fear of being scammed. (I’m already a happy member of W.A., but the other two are surely great to join too if you say so! 🙂 Thanks a lot again for all your shared knowledge.

But after researching and reading a lot, I have arrived to the conclusion that generating passive and residual takes a looooot of work, but it’s in fact possible. I already started with your recommendation # 1, affiliate marketing and as I work more on it, I find it has many possibilities to grow well as a business.

As today the world is changing and it brings a few problems to keep working on a business as we all used to do, the internet is here to give us a hand, I’m sure there are more than one way to grow an online business with different sources of passive income. 19. Tony,

I agree 100% – it is very wise to have multiple sources or streams of income even online.  That way if one is negatively impacted for reasons out of your control you don’t lose everything you’ve been working for. The reality is sometimes other businesses or platforms may change or get updated and those updates or changes could impact you negatively.

Just like with investments – they talk about not having all your eggs in one basket – great concept for income as well.

  22. Not only for the online business people but also everyone living in the modern era should learn this important concept of money, in my opinion. Now is a time in which regular and stable salaries become a luxury. Even if we manage to conquer the overheated war zone in the workplace, there is still a final villain no one can neglect – inflation. Because of this very devil, our money in the bank become doomed to shrink to be worth nothing in future, and hence, we are forced to sort out every possible, and legit of course, way to enhance our incomes. The concept of multiple sources of incomes has transformed from a privilege to wealthy people to a compulsory lesson to children of modern time. Thanks for spreading the related knowledge to people worldwide, for your effort may be more and more vital to human race.

Your experience provides newc*mers such as me, with an invaluable source of advice.  As you say there are lots of “get rich” schemes out there but so many of them, only do it for the scammers who push you to join and get others to follow you down the same hole.  It can be an expensive experience.  Although unrelated, I learnt from buying timeshare years ago, it was not a good experience. There are many ways to earn money online. You can teach a language or do translations, for example. However, the problem is that’s not passive income.

  38. Passive income is the name of the game for sure. I am not sure passive is a good word for it though. When you are first starting out in order to get that passive income it takes a lot of learning and actual applying. Most will not make it past the 6 months mark, really is a shame because once you do and it is consistent,PASSIVE definitely comes regularly. So regularly that passive income from multiple sources can fund your retirement.

  44. I agree with you that it is important to have multiple sources of passive income when you are working online. It is important to have alternative methods of income even if you are working a normal job. These times are so uncertain, we need to be flexible in case the industry suddenly shuts down. I was working as a teacher, but during these Covid-19 restrictions, my job has suddenly become obsolete as everyone is going online. Having a passive income would definitely have relieved some of my stress!

  45. Very often we see similar websites like yours in elsewhere. Sounds fantastic! However, in order to make a full-time income from there, you need to bring traffics to your website. In other words, your website need to be viewed by a large number of audiences. In order to make it happen, you need to write a number of contents with qualities. Maybe at least, 100 posts or pages. So if you write it twice a week, it will takes at least a year. That is a definition of “No Easy Quick Money”. How about people who are not good in writing? Should they walk away and find something else?

I have been focusing far too much on Amazon sales over the last two years as it was so easy to sell there and make good profits. Now that they have dropped their commissions so drastically I am earning a quarter of what I used to there. So now like your advice says, I am looking at other streams of income, as one can’t put all your eggs in one basket.

    1. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket

    2. Make sure all your sources of passive income is legit and not scam.

The list you have of sources you have discovered and tested yourself is long, but makes for a great start point for selecting multiple sources of income. There are a multitude of opportunities in cyberspace to make money, but difficult to discern the real deal offers. I guide like yours is invaluable in researching money-making opportunities.

This is why I like the online world because the opportunities are easy to find and there are a lot of them. You just have to be willing to look for them so that if for any reason one of those sources should close down you can easily depend on your other sources of income.

  73. Hi, Tony!

I have followed you on the blog for some time, and I really like how you present the information, easy to digest.

Something that always seemed to me could be to achieve some sources of income online that have little profit, say 100 dollars and be able to “double” this in other sources of income. Let’s say you achieve 10 of these “jobs”.

I am wondering this since I feel (correct me if it is a lie) that Internet jobs can somehow be carried out in parallel. This way it is easier to have 10 opportunities. For example, having 10 jobs … would be impossible.

Of course, when I refer to parallel jobs, I mean those low-profit jobs, around $ 100 a month. What do you think about this?

Thank you very much for the contribution
    Regards

I’ll be checking out the links. Some I know of and another article of yours I just read mentioned a couple that were new to me. I’ve got some reading to do today! Thank you for bringing all this to my attention.

I’m bookmarking this article to come back to often! I hope you will provide updates, too.

Time and experience have taught me a great deal about online marketing and the importance of having more than one stream of income. Just as in real life, having more than one stream of income can offer some security and comfort that you are safe from lots of market and world conditions.  As we are living through and surviving the COVID pandemic. we have seen how venerable those are with only one form of income.  Multiple streams are true insurance.

Thanks for your take on this form of earning a living.

Anyone new starting right now needs to find a good guide that will show him the right way. While starting an online business and make money online is easier than ever this doesn’t mean that you can also be successful as easy also.

I see that you suggest Aweber and GetResponse. I see that Aweber is now free forever. I checked Aweber some while ago, which provides one month free service. It is so nice that we can use Aweber now and without thinking about fee for it. It is very helpful, since email marketing is a slow process and need a lot of time to master it. Now Aweber provides a new opportunity.

I agree.  There are a lot of shiny objects out there and people constantly jump ship to try the next best thing.  The web is full of self-appointed gurus who don’t always walk their talk.  I finally found some marketers to model after and find out who is in their network, so I can learn real marketing strategies.

I overlooked copywriting for years and was stuck on MLM and trying to use traffic exchanges, safelists, and leads.  I spun a lot of wheels for years.  Cold calling and email marketing.

Now I am learning strategies of bringing traffic to me instead of pestering people who just want to sit on their butt.

Today, with the Internet, it is much more easy to develop several online businesses and create multiple streams of income. Within Affiliate Marketing itself it is possible to do this using several websites each with a different niche.

Naturally, I would recommend creating one at first and building that up to be earning several hundreds of dollars a week before staring another one. What would be your advice Tony?

    Cheers.

With the internet infested with so many scams, a marketer really must do some serious research before investing a lot of time and money in programs. They all will offer great residual income for a person to achieve their dreams, but how will the outcome be? Will they get the support? It remains to be seen.

This can also be seen this way… If a four-leg chair breaks one leg, the chair will still be standing. The same applies with online revenue. One cannot blame gurus for false testimonies; “get rich quick” schemes. People are very impatient with ROI and would rather see results in a snap regardless of the effort they put in and how little the return is, thus give open a huge door for misleading information from gurus while they coin it on the side.

  132. This is a great reminder for those that have started making money online. Sometimes it’s so easy to get so excited when we earn from a single source that we tend to put all of our efforts into one income stream, but what happens when or if that source disappears? Then, you’ll have to start all over.

We often forget that sometimes affiliate programs get removed even after years of being available to marketers, plus it’s limiting the amount we can earn when we only focus on a single income stream.

This is a great reminder, not only to veteran marketers, but also the “newbies” who are just starting out.

While I think it’s a good idea not to overwhelm ourselves by adding multiple streams at once, it’s definitely a great idea to gradually add more income streams once we figure out our general marketing methods, wouldn’t you say?

I’ve had multiple income sources for years, but for the most part, they’re not what one would consider passive. As a freelance writer, I have to take time out of my day to sit down and actually write content for my customers, so the closest I get is with my own websites. That’s not to say I don’t write their content, because I do. It’s just that it continues to make money for me long after I’m done doing so. Just the same, I’d like to incorporate other passive income streams to multiply the possibilities, especially if they can be related in some way. Thanks for sharing!

Making sure you do all the research you can before joining one as I have personally been scammed multiple times. I am so happy I decided to join wealthy affiliate as it has been by far the best thing yet. Having multiple streams of income is a must to have residual income that way if something does not work out at least you have money coming in from other places as well.

I really like this school of thought. I think you definitely have a solid point.

“The trick is of course to find the opportunities that are indeed legitimate as well as a return of investment of our time and/or money.

There are many shiny objects available on the internet and also lots of so called gurus who are just trying to promote the latest & greatest thing.”

That is the problem I am having. Finding legit opportunities that isn’t on their last legs that i can promote in confidence that will maintain ROI.

  164. Residual income building is the only true source of passive income as a lifestyle. It is in itself the definition of wealth as eventually, all product-based posts have a shelf life and no Search Engine Rank is guaranteed forever to generate new sales. The difference between being rich and being wealthy is whether your money is working to earn you more money in your sleep, on vacation, when you retire, and for generations to come. Wealthy beats being rich any day. I would rather have $240K a year in residual income than a one time five million dollar lottery win. I can live off wealth far past my lifetime.

  165. It is extremely important that as an online entrepreneur you generate multiple income streams. You simply can’t rely on one source of income and expect it to be sustainable given the changing nature of the online world. It’s really only the same as other decisions you make about finance in that you have to diversify your investments to ensure long term growth.

You have obviously been in the industry long enough to know the importance of diversifying.

Making money online isn’t easy by any means, but over time multiple income streams can be built up gradually until they add up to something substantial.

Their marketing is excellent and is why they flew past Builderall which is a similar programme.  The difference is Builderall’s Premium package is half the price of Clickfunnels basic package.  So for someone on a tight budget – Builderall would be the better solution.

I agree with you in that we must try to have multiple sources of income as online entrepreneurs. But I am not sure how we can ever be able to do that safely. No matter how hard one tries to research on a “business opportunity” you come across, or one that gets thrown your way, you will 90%+ of the time, only realise when you are already in, that you have fallen into a trap!

The problem is that such scams divert your resources such as money and time from some legit enterprises that you could have or would have already joined!

    It’s not easy!

If you choose affiliate marketing for earning a passive income, you have to persevere and put in the work and build your website niche. You can’t be jumping from one offer to the next, thinking that this newest offer is better because it is trending at the moment. You must have a business plan and stick to it.

  203. Passive income is the goal for many aspiring entrepreneurs (sometimes called just aspiring). Instead of working for someone else, trading your time for a few bucks an hour, you are capable of sitting on the beach in the sun with a mojito while the money flows into your bank account.

If you’ve been reading this series, you know that passive income is more complicated than that. It takes time, effort and creativity to put everything together so that you bring enough money to pay for the mojito, even so the flight and the beach next to the hotel.

One of the best ways to increase your passive income is to expand into other areas. More than just investing your energy in a single idea, having small ideas can be more successful. Let’s take a look at why and how to make multiple sources of passive income.
